"Mrs Jas: Pam and I have been wanting to let you know how Casey has been doing in school this year. He is having a lot of fun making new friends, and learning new things. We wanted you to know that he is doing very well with his school work and already knows a lot of what is being taught by his teacher. What a great teacher you were for Casey...his teacher asked where he had gone to preschool. You made a difference and really prepared him for his first year of school. Thank you for that!" -Tim O'Connell
“Our grandson attended two years at Little Methodist School, and we couldn't be more pleased. In the three year old class, he learned much needed social skills, such as sharing and sitting quietly for circle. In the four year old class, the curriculum broadened to include pre-kindergarten activities such as learning how to write the letters of the alphabet and how to use scissors. The teachers have been warm and caring and have kept his parents and us apprised of his progress. The communication between the teachers, preschool staff and the parents has been great. More importantly, our grandson looked forward to attending daily.” - Kenneth K.
“Our family has been a part of Little Methodist School for the past 3 school years. When I started the daunting task of finding a preschool that met the criteria we were looking for, I was overwhelmed. It wasn't until a fellow mom at the park mentioned LMS to me that I had ever heard of it. When my daughter and I went to visit, we instantly fell in love. The quaintness of the school, and the warm feeling from the teachers is what drew us in and what has kept us there. The fact that it is parent participation made it even more perfect for us. My daughter will be going to Kindergarten this year, and I am confident that she is prepared academically and socially. The school has focused on enhancing so many aspects of the children’s lives. This has successfully been accomplished through the devotion of the teachers and the dedication of the parents. As we venture off to Kindergarten, it is bittersweet. We will miss Little Methodist School, but we are so happy with the experience we have had. With another baby on the way, I look forward to being back at Little Methodist School in a few years!” -Brooke J.
“In an increasingly complicated world, Little Methodist School is for those of us who appreciate simplicity. The simplicity of knowing what amazing growth can happen in our children when they are provided the space to simply be kids. To play freely, explore, sing, dance, create, run, navigate new friendships, and be cherished and loved for who they are uniquely in this world is a gem to find. Participating in this process is a gift.” -Jennifer G.
“Making the decision to have our son start preschool was challenging due to previous negative experiences at other schools. I spoke with the director of Little Methodist School about their four year old classroom and explained to her that our son had not had any positive preschool experiences and had been mainly only taken care of by family. She told me not to worry and to bring him to their Thanksgiving program to meet his classmates and teacher. The teacher graciously showed our son the classroom and explained a little of what school was all about. It was such a great match for our son – small class size, caring, driven teachers, and a wonderful learning environment. He went from being shy and unsure to socially and academically ready for kindergarten. I appreciate all of the Little Methodist family so much that we enrolled our daughter in their toddler program.” -Jenn A.
“Little Methodist helped our son in many ways. Some of the things our son learned while attending the toddler program was sharing, creativity, and friendship. As parents, we absolutely loved all of the teachers at Little Methodist who were all caring, friendly, and provided an environment that encouraged learning. We also felt that the high teacher-student ratio gave our son the personal attention that other schools would not have given him.” -Brian & Jamie K.
“LMS is a preschool that has positively impacted our children’s academic, social and emotional development. The teachers valued our children and worked hard to prepare an environment that piqued their curiosity for exploring and learning all while modeling kindness, caring and respect amongst all. We enjoyed and valued being welcomed into the classroom regularly to participate in our children’s learning environment. Painting, music and movement, outside playtime for gross motor development, dramatic play, opportunity for choice, group circle, and snack time all provided opportunities for our children to learn and practice skills vital to their whole development. The values at LMS closely parallel our family’s value system, so going to school for my children was like an extension of home. Also, our family has formed lasting relationships through our LMS experience which has been an added bonus that we did not expect, but have found to be a gift. We would highly recommend LMS to families who want a solid academic preschool experience for their children built upon a strong foundation of core values.” -Linda H.
